I know how important language is.

My name is Valentina Driller.

I was born in Buzău, Romania, and moved to Germany at the age of nine.

German was a new language for me too at first. From my own experience, I therefore know how challenging it can be to learn a new language – but also how many opportunities it can open up.

My own journey eventually led me into the fields of education and language support.

I studied Childhood Education as well as German as a Second and Foreign Language (DaZ/DaF) at the University of Education Freiburg and have been working in language education and language support since 2017.

My professional experience includes working as an additional language specialist in the German federal programme “Sprach-Kita”, as a social education professional at the Julius-Leber Primary School in Breisach, and in my current role in German language support (DaZ/VKL).
